This evening saw the first CAE Highland Games take place.
After dinner, everyone headed outside in class teams to take part in a range of activities inspired by Scottish Highland Games.
Everyone enjoyed tossing the ‘cabers’… more difficult than it looks! The trick is to flip the caber over and try and get it to land as near to a ‘twelve o clock’ position as possible.

Welly-throwing also proved a great success. Felix’s group even came up with a chant! Mohammed, Panha and Natasza were the experts in this event.
And of course, what would any Scottish-themed activity be without Nessie? The legend of the Loch Ness Monster was the inspiration for our final game. Charli and David had spent the morning busily creating our ‘Nessie’, who was ready to gobble up ‘sheep’ (or bean bags to you and I). Pheanu was a super star in this event, getting an impressive six out of six on his turn!
